Switching roles

I stared at my computer for a good 45 minutes last night trying to think about something worth writing about. For the first time in my life, I have nothing to say. That’s why we are switching roles today. Instead of me entertaining – or at least attempting to entertain – you for two or three minutes today, it’s your turn to entertain me.

Feel free to share an interesting blog post, a funny picture, a hilarious video, or just some random fact of life that you think I (we) should be aware of.

Ah frick, who am I kidding, I can’t just leave you empty-handed. Don’t say I never did anything for ya…

  1. Ooooo. I love role play.
But that’s probably not what we are talking about today on a PG-13 personal finance blog, eh?

  2. I was wondering if any of your readers play in the options market for stocks. It is one of my favorite ways to dabble in the stock market with less capitol risk but huge potential….

DN feels like it is too close to gambling (which I enjoy) so he does not risk it but in the 3 years I have been participating I have had the joy of paying capitol gains taxes because my investments do well. I have lost money a few times but I have come out a head each year.

If you don’t play with stock options is there another way that you risk a little capitol in hopes of some greater return?

  3. 5 things you may not know about me:
    1) I have soloed in a Cessna 152, but had to stop shy of getting my Private Pilot’s License because I couldn’t afford the fly time training AND save of my wedding
    2) I sang Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” in a High School Air Band Competition
    3) My great-great-great-grand uncle was the first Deputy Prime Minister of Canada
    4) More than 1 glass of wine (white or red) gives me a headache
    5) I can almost touch the tip of my nose with my tongue

  4. This really isnt cute or funny but more informative. this website: http://www.mobilitywod.com/ is a good resource for everybody to “loosen up” and work on your body to increase your mobility, joint position, and flexibility. a must for those in office chairs all day

  5. The real stock market is convoluted and confusing and risky.

The fake Hollywood stock market is much more fun. http://www.hsx.com

Two million free fake dollars to invest as you see fit in movies, TV shows, celebrities, and awards.; I now basically understand what a put and a call are, thanks to this. And unlike the real stock market, it’s actually easy to understand why stocks are valued the way they are.

    • That just made me soooo happy. Thank you for sharing. lol I didn’t know anyone could be so excited over a sloth. I also feel so relieved to know that I’m not the only one with the tiny no-cry zone of 3-7.

  6. Just because I am totally full of myself right now…I just completed P90X and I rocked it! On Day 4 of P90X2…yay me!
